As the weather warms and the water levels stabilize, the hatches become more prolific, with Hendricksons and Sulphurs offering excellent dry-fly opportunities. Summer brings its own challenges and rewards, with hopper-dropper rigs becoming a staple on warmer days, and the evenings often providing spinner falls. Fall is a spectacular time, with cooler temperatures and the anticipation of the Blue-Winged Olive hatches, signaling a prime time for technical dry-fly fishing before the winter sets in. I fish these waters year-round, adapting techniques to the conditions, from nymphing in the cooler months to dry-fly fishing during the peak hatches.
