My guiding year on Lake Champlain is a dynamic dance with the seasons, offering a diverse range of experiences from April through November. Spring kicks off with the opening of the fishing season in April, where we focus on the robust coldwater species like Lake Trout, Brown Trout, and Steelhead. As the weather warms into May and June, the warmwater species become more active, and we transition to targeting Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, and Chain Pickerel. Summer, from July through August, is prime time for these warmwater species, with opportunities for explosive action on topwater and aggressive jigging presentations. Fall, from September into November, brings a different kind of excitement. The cooler temperatures invigorate the fish, and we can target a variety of species, often combining fishing with bowfishing for a unique experience. The season wraps up in November, leaving clients with memories of a full spectrum of angling adventures.
