He specializes in seasonal targeting—summer offshore pursuits of bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, dorado, and striped marlin; spring and fall island fishing around the Coronado Islands for yellowtail and barracuda; and winter bottom-fishing for rockfish, lingcod, and sheepshead in both California and Mexican waters. His operation is built on flexibility and versatility, accommodating everything from family outings targeting calico bass and smaller species to serious trophy hunters chasing marlin and bluefin.

My fishing year in San Diego is a dynamic pursuit of diverse species, dictated by the seasons and their migrations. While the weather is consistently pleasant year-round, the true excitement lies in targeting specific fish as they become available. In the summer months, the offshore waters come alive with pelagic species like yellowfin tuna, bluefin tuna, dorado, and marlin, offering thrilling deep-sea adventures. As the seasons transition, the focus shifts to inshore and island fishing, where species like yellowtail, barracuda, and various rockfish provide excellent opportunities closer to shore and around the Coronado Islands. Even during the winter, when some species like rockfish may be closed in California waters, we can venture into Mexican waters for a fantastic rockfish bite, or focus on other bottom dwellers closer to home. My goal is always to provide a memorable experience, whether it's a family outing targeting smaller fish or an offshore quest for a trophy.
