Ichingo Chobe River Lodge

Ichingo Chobe River Lodge sits on Impalila Island at the confluence of the Chobe and Zambezi rivers in Namibia's Zambezi Region, accessible by road transfer from Kasane Airport. The 8-tent property accommodates up to 16 guests year-round, with each tent allocated a private boat and dedicated guide—a setup that enables independent fishing or combined wildlife and cultural pursuits. The Chobe River is renowned for tigerfish, Africa's most aggressive freshwater game fish, and the lodge provides both fly and conventional tackle on a strict catch-and-release basis. The dry season (May–October) concentrates fish and favors conventional techniques, while the green season (November–April) brings warmer weather and vibrant birdlife. All-inclusive packages cover meals, local beverages, guided fishing, river-based game viewing, birding, and village cultural visits. Accommodations are air-conditioned canvas tents with en-suite bathrooms and private river-facing balconies.
