My guiding year on the Snake River in Hells Canyon kicks off in May, as the spring runoff begins to subside and the water levels become ideal for fishing. Early summer and spring offer excellent flows, making it prime time to target the river's diverse species. As the mid-summer heat arrives, the fishing remains consistent and rewarding. The season extends into late summer and fall, offering cooler temperatures and less crowded waters, making it a perfect time to experience the rugged beauty of the canyon and its abundant fish. I operate throughout this entire period, ensuring clients can experience the best of what the Snake River has to offer.
