The main target species in Salalah Southern Oman are Trachinotus Africanus, which is the 4th permit species and Southern Oman is probably the only place on the planet at the moment to be able to target them on a regular basis. The Africanus found in this area is what has traveling anglers and permit junkies excited: They’re big, they inhabit incredibly challenging environments, and they are the ultimate target if permit fishing is your thing.
