Fishing methods and approaches
My guiding year on Pyramid Lake is centered around the incredible Lahontan Cutthroat Trout. The season officially opens October 1st and runs through June 30th. While the lake is open year-round for fishing, my charter service focuses on this prime window. The early fall, particularly October, is often excellent as the fish pack on weight over the summer, and I anticipate a strong bite for the 2025-2026 season. As winter progresses, the fishing continues, and we move into spring with the anticipation of the largest trout becoming more active.
