Reisa Lodge sits in Storslett, Troms, in the heart of Arctic Norway near the Reisa River, Lyngen Alps, and Reisafjorden. The lodge operates year-round with 11 rooms accommodating up to 32 guests. Historically centered on Atlantic salmon fly-fishing, the river closed to salmon angling in spring 2022, prompting a strategic pivot to multi-activity tourism. Winter (October–April) is now the signature season: Northern Lights viewing, dog sledding, snowmobiling, ice fishing for brown trout, and snowshoeing dominate the calendar. Summer (June–October) shifts focus to riverboat excursions to Mollisfossen and Imofossen waterfalls, packrafting, hiking, and biking across the Finnmarksvidda plateau and Lyngen Alps. The lodge provides specialized gear (thermal suits, snowshoes, ice-fishing equipment) and includes rooftop jacuzzi access. Guides are available for most activities. While no longer a dedicated salmon lodge, Reisa has successfully repositioned as a premium Arctic adventure destination with ice fishing as a secondary angling option.

Fishing methods and approaches
Reisa Lodge offers a year-round experience, but the fishing season for Atlantic salmon, their primary target, is unfortunately no longer available as the river was closed for salmon fishing in the spring of 2022. However, the lodge has pivoted to offer a wide array of other activities and experiences throughout the year. From late September through April, the focus shifts to winter pursuits. This includes prime time for Northern Lights viewing from October to March, dog sledding from November to April, and whale watching in the fjords from November to January. Snowmobiling and ice fishing are excellent from December to April, while skiing is possible from December to June. As the snow melts and spring arrives, typically in May, the Reisa River opens up for trout fishing and water sports. The summer season, from June to October, is ideal for riverboat trips to spectacular waterfalls like Mollisfossen and Imofossen, as well as packrafting and exploring the vast hiking and biking trails. Photo safaris are available year-round, capitalizing on the dramatic landscapes in every season.
