Salmon Hole Lodge

Salmon Hole Lodge sits on the La Poile River in southwestern Newfoundland, accessible only by coastal ferry and boat transport from Rose Blanche. The lodge accommodates six guests in six rooms and runs guided fly-fishing trips exclusively during the summer months (mid-June through August), when Atlantic salmon enter the river and sea-run brook trout migrate upstream from the Atlantic. The operation is designated an Atlantic Salmon Federation Live Release Camp, reflecting its commitment to conservation and catch-and-release practices. All-inclusive packages include daily guided fishing, lodging, meals, and boat transport; guests provide their own tackle or rent from the lodge. The remote, low-pressure river environment and small group size create ideal conditions for both experienced fly anglers and newcomers to connect with wild Atlantic salmon and sea-run brookies.
