Species & Seasons
Methods
The Ranch at Rock Creek offers a year-round fishing experience, though the prime season for serious anglers centers around the warmer months. From late spring through early fall, the Rock Creek, a Blue Ribbon fishery, is at its most productive. Anglers can expect excellent opportunities for various trout species, including westslope cutthroat, rainbow, cut-bow, brown, brook, and bull trout, as well as Rocky Mountain whitefish. The spring salmonfly hatch, typically in late June through mid-July, is a highlight, offering exceptional dry fly fishing. As autumn progresses, cooler temperatures bring larger, more aggressive brown trout, making streamer fishing particularly rewarding. Winter also offers a unique ice fishing experience on Georgetown Lake, targeting rainbow trout, brook trout, and kokanee salmon from the warmth of a hut.
