My guiding year on the Upper Delaware River system follows the rhythm of the seasons and the hatches that bring the wild trout and smallmouth bass to life. The West Branch, with its consistently cold water, offers excellent fishing throughout the season, making it a reliable choice for those seeking big brown trout and consistent hatches. As spring gives way to summer and into fall, the East Branch and Main Stem open up, providing an additional 60 miles of float-able water teeming with wild rainbow and brown trout. These larger sections are classic big-water dry-fly fisheries, perfect for experiencing the thrill of a large trout rising to the fly. I also offer specialized Spey casting instruction and fishing, which is a fantastic way to cover water efficiently, especially in tight quarters or on larger rivers, and it's a technique that can be enjoyed across various seasons.
